After graduating from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1974, I attended Capital University Law School, where in 1979 I received a Juris Doctor Degree.  That same year, I was admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.

Having been born and raised in the Wilkes-Barre area, I knew this was where I wanted to work.  Upon my return to the area, I worked for Legal Services of Northeastern Pennsylvania as the Director of the Elder Law project, advocating for individuals with physical and mental disabilities.  After a few years, I was invited to join the firm of Meyer and Swatkoski as an Associate.  I deal with cases in Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, and Family Law, which includes divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and visitation rights.

I am a member of the Luzerne County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and also the elite National Organization of Social Security Representatives.    I remain active in the community having served on numerous non-profit agency boards including Family Services and North Penn Legal Services, Inc.

I enjoy speaking about different aspects of the Law; and because of this, Attorney Swatkoski and I provide lectures on Social Security Law and Family Law at the request of many organizations.  This has also led to my being added to the faculty of Kings College as a Lecturer, where I have taught Family Law, Legal Research, and Legal Issues concerning the Elderly.
